Origin Story

Adam Marx AKA Professor Spark

Hi, my name is Adam Marx, and I’m a superhero (or my alter ego – Professor Spark – is)

I’ve been reading comic books and science fiction since I was 5, interested in personal development since I was 25, and at 45 saw a way to integrate the two.

My professional experience is wide-ranging, from small software start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, and entrepreneurial ventures.  I bring an understanding of practical realities and a powerful vision of human potential which allows me to work with people to achieve real change in their lives.

I’m an ICF (International Coach Federation) Certified Coach, an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner, a certified Creative Problem Solving (read: brainstorming) facilitator, and an international trainer.

From a formal academic perspective, my preparation includes a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and Masters of Arts from Boston University.  At both schools, I studied computer science, cognitive psychology, and how people interact with technology.

I am particularly intrigued with the concept of “hero” and the ways our culture explores heroism through superheroes and other mythic figures.

Adam is incredibly talented with his NLP and coaching skills. I’ve attended many of his workshops and sometimes was at awe when I watched his demonstrations. I have teamed up with Adam as well to deliver seminars and could not ask for a more knowledgeable and insightful person.
